Sushi!

I went to Christina’s for lunch.

She had set the table with a vase of flowers, which made me wish for the day that I, too, will live in a mostly remodeled house with amenities like dining rooms with tables to put vases of flowers upon!

She made chai – I only had half a cup, since caffeine and I aren’t necessarily getting along – and sushi. The sushi was delicious and I had lots of wasabi with it. I kept trying to get her daughter Prasada to eat a big spoonful of wasabi, but she wasn’t going for it. There were also turtles for dessert.

It was Christina and her wonderful kids, me, and Tahmi. A great time was had by all. Tahmi was late because she had to styptic a wound on Kaia’s ear from a dog fight, but apparently Kaia’s fine.

Lunch date! Whoo-hoo!

We discussed possibly seeing Amma in November. Maybe we can go together!

Does anyone have the world’s best pie crust recipe for me? I usually use the one out of The Joy of Cooking, but I’m wondering: what’s your favorite pie crust recipe?

Yes, I’m a big dork who still uses Outlook even though I know better and it’s fulla holes like all M$ software. But it syncs with my PPC, yo – and I’m attached to that. Anyway, who has a hacked copy and/or key for this I can have? You’re not gonna make me look for warez myself, are you?

I finally did it. I signed up for an account at del.icio.us and I’m in the process of getting all my bookmarks in there.

No, as a matter of fact I am not sure how I lived without it. OMFG, del.icio.us really is as wonderful as all the geeks said it was. It’s definitely replacing my old true love, Yahoo! Bookmarks.

Lakeside Motel

When Brett and I go to Chicago, we like to stay at The Lakeside Motel because it’s cheap, weird, and centrally located.

The last time we went to Chicago was in 2002, and I’d totally forgotten the motel’s name and address. After literally hours of googling, I finally found it. Whew. And only 8 miles from the Cadillac Palace theatre, where Todd‘s playing!
