i prefer to think of them as identity crises.
it’s when you realize that you’re getting -older- and go into a deep contemplation mode about where you’ve been and where you’re headed – and you’re seriously asking yourself if you like that direction or not.
personally, i go through this every fall. some years are lighter (philosophically) than others. this year’s working out pretty good (for me) so far.
i’m only 34 and am sure that i’ve had at least 1 per year since 20.
