I assume you read Queen of Angels before Slant? (more history of marychoi) I actually wrote Greg Bear an email after reading Slant (I was worried about jill and her future relationship with her main doctor/dude) He said that they would be ok, but that she would be a lot more careful around humans, not taking them at their word anymore. Like an idiot, I lost the email (should have printed it) but knowing I connected him was enough. He’s awesome.
You know, I can’t recall having read him. Good, I’m glad I have something to add to the reading list. By the way; I strongly, STRONGLY recommend Kazuo Ishiguro’s “Never Let Me Go.” It’s not pure science-fiction, but it’s wonderful.
