I love shit that explodes. I really do.

I came into town tonight at around eight, stopped at Walmart to buy a print cartridge for my HP printer, grabbed some drive-thru, and went to Christina’s to do seva stuff. (Amma‘ll be in Mount Pleasant Wednesday! WEDNESDAY!) Turned out we needed her son before we could do anything since he knew which of the three laptops I was supposed to install the printer on… we ended up going to see fireworks.

I saw Emo, Barbara, and Derby there! Yay! I also saw some sweet, colorful, loud shit blowing up. I love fireworks.

Isn’t that one of the great things about living in a small town……when you go to an event you see lots of people you know and want to talk to and even some you don’t!
The fireworks were great tonight. My kids absolutely loved them and kept yelling, “awesome or cool” every time. I love to watch them really enjoying life. They find the most pleasure in the smallest of things that “us adults” might walk right by. I’m living my second childhood vicariously through them. I guess I shouldn’t say my second childhood, it’s more like the childhood I wish I’d had…….so I’m, determined to do all the things that are fun, silly, or what some may condsider a waste of time!
I had bought glow in the dark necklaces off ebay so we were all decked out…it was funny to see our little “campsite” from a distance. All you could see were the glow sticks moving around in the air as if they were floating around. I say campsite since we got there early and cooked out and swam with a couple of other family friends so we had quite a setup by the time the fireworks started!!

Where were you, Hot Misty? I sat on a blanket with the Wadsworths, Kevin and Aimee, and Barbara and Stephen. How did I miss you?!

I’d love to meet you someday, Rufus! We still need to teach you to knit, you know!

You must be related to my family… all they do is blow stuff up for fun. Everyone had their ears covered while they watched. I actually handed out extra ear plugs left over from the Indy 500. 🙂
