In which there’s music.

Here’s the second rough of one of my new band’s demo tunes:

(And yes, Naomi, I had RB fix the ‘chew’ sound you didn’t like. I live to serve!)

One of these days, we’ll get organized and record a third tune… and then learn enough material to actually do a gig if someone hires us!

    it is perfection itself. đŸ˜€

Yay! (Once you mentioned the ‘chew’ sound, I obsessed on it and made Robin fix it. DAMN you. But thanks.) -m

Wow. I’ve been reading you through Google reader and missed the unveiling of the new digs. Nice!

Feeds are for lazy people. đŸ˜‰ -m

  3. pj says:

OMFG. That was worth the wait!! That was the first time I ever heard you sing! Talk about shock and awe. I’m going to invest another hour and download this to the hard drive.

    YOU ROCK!

p.s. DSL is in my future….

The first time ever? You never went to my rockstar page? And thanks! And yeah, DSL is totally tits: GET IT, it’s so worth it. -m

  4. pj says:

Wait — I can’t download it to my hard drive?? I’m still an idiot… Freezing her ass off in Iowa…

It doesn’t download when you click the ‘Download’ link? -m

    NICE.

    I mean that. đŸ˜‰

    Aw, thanks, you! -m

Agreed. Feeds are for lazy people! đŸ˜‰

It will download if you right click ‘download’ and click ‘save target as’ I had this problem too with IE users. Firefox, as always, works just fine.

    Yah. What he said.

I see you are using the same mp3 player I am. Of course mine looks allot cooler but hey, yours is good too. (hehe) Did you go full on podcast plugin or just grab the mp3 player?

    Full-on whole enchilada.

Sounds great by the way… but I think your drummer has cheap sounding brass and may need an upgrade before you guys actually record.

It’s the ‘house’ set that lives in the guitar player’s basement. Drummers hate schlepping if’n they don’t have to, aye? -m

  7. Jay-Rob says:

Negative. I always used my own brass. For every recording. Because I know the “house” shit always sucked. No joke. I am very picky when it comes to brass.

Podcast plugin is great! You can totally make it so you are found on iTunes!

Bad brass sounds like mud. I dunno how folks can stand it, and I’m not even a drummer. -m

  8. Seth says:

Dancing around my hotel room right now! Love it, love it!!

Oh I’m so glad you like it! -m

  9. ~pj says:

Firefox right click has a different right click menu than IE. It’s not “save target as”. And I am still an idiot. I have it figured out now!

Yes, I’ve been to the Rockstar page before but did not want to put myself through the torture of waiting. Because I am in a hurry dammit! A hurry to go nowhere!

    Get there FASTER! -m

Your guitar player has a house DRUM SET??? Get outta here! I keep telling my man (guitarer) we need a drum set, just for the drummers that come over here, since we have the space and all. But neither of us actually play drums. But if I called it a HOUSE SET, that may actually work for, you know, getting him on the wagon and helping me pick out a set and setting it up and all that. Then we can teach the kids to play, all proper and everything.

If you’ve got room, buy a house drum kit! Yeah! Instant jam sessions! -m
