In which I babble about a few unrelated things – mostly technical, some travel.

Three days ago I installed a WP plugin called Bad Behavior. It stops bots from leaving comments on the site, and therefore reduces bandwidth usage. In the brief time Bad Behavior’s been installed, it’s stopped 1680 access attempts. Which makes me very happy, of course.

I did receive an email from a real person who wasn’t allowed to comment, however, and that makes me unhappy, of course. Is anybody else having any problems leaving comments?

SaveNetRadio.orgYesterday was net radio silence day. It was considered a huge success but net radio’s still in danger, folks.

Today I’m listening to a last.fm station based on Fear of Pop, which I’m super into this week. It’s freakin’ hawt.

Also, the latest last.fm client now scrobbles iPod plays! I’m so pleased!

Today’s beloved Firefox plugins are FoxyTunes and TwittyTunes.

In other news, I’ll be seeing Amma next week, all week – Monday & Tuesday in Coralville, IA and then Thursday & Friday in Chicago, IL. I’m so excited. Bghead even said he’d feed my dog.

I tried to post a comment on your June 20 blog entry, and it didn’t go through. But, that was before you installed your new plugin. Hmmmmmm… wonder if this one will go through.

BTW, the comment that didn’t go through was asking what “HH” is. Is that some local bar, restaurant, or other hangout?

Hickory House. The place where the falafel comes from, on Hwy 34? -m

Use the site to send your congresscritters a fax telling them how stupid it is to turn the US into Communist China over a couple of knocked-down buildings…

Good God. That sucks, man. -m
