In which we invent a new cocktail.

Gorgeous and I accidentally invented a brilliant drink. Behold!

Bombay Ginger-Limetini

Juice of 1 lime
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1-1/2 shots vodka
1 shot simple syrup
1 slice fresh ginger

Stir and serve in a tall glass over ice.

  1. yum! do you need to smash up or muddle the ginger? hm? i think i’d prefer this strained into a martini glass, actually. ice melts and dilutes the booze.

We just threw the slice in the drink, but muddling sounds HOT. -m

I’d grate a chunk of fresh ginger and squeeze the juice into the drink. A dash of cayenne or habanero tincture could also be interesting.

    Oooh. Mad crazy. -m

Oh. Oh my. I tried it, and YUM.

You know what works well with it if you want to make it into a long cocktail is some sparkling lemonade. And a slice of crystallised ginger on the side.

    🙂

Oh. Oh my. That does sound good! I need to get some crystallised ginger. -m
