Any abortion ban must include an exception for the health of the woman!

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America, which has challenged the law, reacted angrily to the news. “The Supreme Court’s decision to hear this case is a dangerous act of hostility aimed squarely at women’s health and safety,” the group’s president, Cecile Richards, said in a statement. “Despite 33 years of Supreme Court precedent that women’s health matters, the court has decided it will once again take up this issue.”

    You mean all those calls to our congresspeople didn’t make a difference? What a shocker…

    I hope I don’t end up feeling morally obligated to join a women’s health collective and learn how to do menstrual extractions. I know it’s crucial to women’s health and so on, but honestly it’s not my cuppa tea. But what else are we gonna do…

    I don’t want to have to learn how to do any of it myself. *shudder* Fortunately I know a midwife who can and will do either. I should send her a check just for being there.
