goblinbox

gobbie

n., slang. Any kind of device (computer, PDA, cell phone, GameBoy, iPod, or television) that relentlessly sucks up all of your time and attention. If you're reading this, you're utilizing a goblinbox right now. You might even have a S.O. who wishes you weren't pasted to the goblinbox who's hollering, "Turn off that blasted goblinbox and come to bed this very instant!"

It’s Thursday.

In which it’s all good news.

Okay, so obviously none of you read, care about software, or have an iThing, so you were not in the least interested in the last post. (At least Shenry was kind enough to comment anyway.) But guess what? I have something interesting to share!

I’ve been asked to write an article about bento for the U-B! Whoo hoo! AND I may be going to a rehearsal/tryout with a new band!

Most importantly, though, the Dallas trip is only two weeks and a wake-up away. Yay, vaction! Yay, Amma!

    1. I read every word you write and look at every frigging bento photo that you flicker. Which is why I want you to make me lunch every day and save me from myself.

    2. I Don’t have an iThing.

    3. The world of software is leaving me so far behind that I have no hope of keeping up with someone who has had a digital reader for a fucking decade.

    4. Get ready for a legion (a legion, I tell ya) of new fans. I found you from a knitting article in the DM Register years ago. AND I’M STILL HERE.

    5. So there.

LOL! I love you too. *smooch* -m

Whoops! I know I should have left a big, fat comment on the previous post because I’m hooked on any sentence which has the word book in it. I read it with a lot of interest actually because if I ever get techno savvy enough to be reading books on a machine I’ll need to know the what and how and you’ve taken all the hard work out of it. I was just too lazy, ignorant and distracted to leave a comment. *Slinks off and hangs head in shame*

Yay! Throw money at ebook hardware! -m

AND you’ve got singing AND bentos gigs! You are the queen!

    Yay! -m
