In which the weather outside is frightful.

Snow 2.13.07No one has called (or emailed) to offer me a job today. This makes me sad.

It’s been snowing since yesterday. We have a winter storm watch in effect until six o’clock. I swept off the porch and it’s cold and shitty out. My friend Snow needs a ride to the Amtrak station in Ottumwa, but we’ve got near blizzard conditions out there and I think I don’t want to be driving around in the dark in that shit. I’ve been texting with him since nine this morning.

In other news, my mom gave me a gift certificate for Patternworks for Xmas and I’m trying to figure out what to buy with it, but their site is broken. Bah.

Hmm. A bit of irony in the fact that “Snow” can’t get a ride because of the snow.

Snow isn’t a nickname; it’s literally his middle name! He found someone else to take him… someone who probably has two working windshield wipers! -m

Vuboq got me a gift certificate for Patternworks for my birthday last year — be careful! I ended up spending about $60 more than the g.c. because I couldn’t make up my mind! I have no wooly self-control. 😉

Oh, and I got that shirt at CafePress.

That shirt fucking cracks me up! ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US! -m

Oh wow, I didn’t realize it snowed there in Iowa. We have this one old woman that was from Iowa, and whenever I talk to her, I just think, Hey that’s where Mush lives! She gets on our nerves though lol, she’s kinda ancient and I’m surprised she got an admin job considering she’s never worked with computer it looks like. Oh god, did I sound mean!? *bats eyes

I think she upped and left Iowa to take this spot. Ugh, they kill you with the waiting time. Keepin my freezing fingers and toes crossed for ya.

Oh hell yeah, it snowed half a fucking foot in the past twenty-four hours. -m

Oh baby, it sucked here today. The daughter slugged to school only to be sent home early. Wish you would have come in, we could have gone to common grounds for coffee or something (WOO HOO, we are becoming civilized with a coffee shop) but I am glad you didn’t, the weather was icky.
Sorry the job front isn’t yeilding anything .. I am there with you… Ok the husband is, I am just an unwilling participant, but I know how you must feel. Check out Randall Marketing there by you. Husband went for interview there.

Yeah, the weather was totally sucky. (*Is* totally sucky. Whatever.) Thanks for the job tip; I’ll check it out. Stay warm! I have your number in my phone still so the next time I make it over to ScrOttumwa I’ll give you a call! -m

I tried to spend my GC yesterday but their site went down. -m
