1. I live in Fairfield, IA, Walla Walla, WA USA.

2. I was married for five years. Marriage is both cooler and more boring than I’d envisioned.

3. I studied opera when I was younger.

4. I have often sung in bands and starred in musicals.

5. I really like to cook.

6. I majored in music, literature, and history in college. (Not all at once.)

7. I used to work at an ISP in the engineering department. I know a lot about networking computers together, DNS, and general Internet stuff.

8. I taught myself HTML and CSS and graphic design and have built a few websites professionally. None of them are all that stunning, but hey. I majored in lit fer chrissakes.

9. My dog Bindu is a full-blooded runt of an Australian Cattle Dog, otherwise known as a blue heeler. ACDs are a really intense and interesting breed.

10. I read all the time.

11. I hate tapioca.

12. I sometimes eat the heads off of burnt matches.

13. People tell me all the time that I’m funny.

14. My favorite movie is still Blade Runner.

15. I wear skirts ninety percent of the time.

16. I’m 37 40 but I still get carded for cigarettes.

17. My hobbies are reading, maintaining goblinbox.com, knitting, yoga/meditation/prayer, skinning PPC apps, and cooking. My anti-hobbies (meaning I don’t want to do them) are sewing, gardening, and decorating.

18. I’ve lived in Oregon, Washington, Iowa, and New Mexico. (I only lived in New Mexico for about two weeks, though.)

19. I’ve never left the continent.

20. I’ve had several miscarriages. Like, seven or eight.

21. I’m the first child of two. My brother and I are 8 years apart.

22. Politically I’m more conservative than even my closest friends realize.

23. I’ve never been in a physical fight with anyone, ever.

24. I believe that most people are inherently good.

25. My grammar is excellent.

26. I like coffee and chocolate.

27. I eat sushi sometimes because it’s sooo good. But I haven’t eaten red meat since I was 19.

28. Most of organized religion is useless, but not ALL of it. I think we gotta learn to separate the wheat from the chaff.

29. I drink alcohol. I smoke cigarettes. I’ve done most street drugs at least once, many of them quite a few more times than that.

30. My favorite color is brown.

31. I wish I’d been forced to take piano as a kid.

32. If you went to high school with me, you went to Sam Barlow High School in Gresham, OR and you knew me as Shelly Morgan.

33. I was a total dweeb in high school.

34. I lost my virginity in my own bed at the age of 16 with a nice boy I then dated for a year and a half.

35. I type really damn fast.

36. I have a really cool old sewing machine that I never use.

37. My mother taught me how to make gravy, which is why I make damn good gravy.

38. My name is Michelle. Americans pronounce Michelle “muh-SHEL,” so it got shortened to Mush.

39. People who love me, including me, often call me Mushlette.

40. My maiden name is Morgan. My married name was Mook. Mook rhymes with “book,” not “Luke.”

41. My spiritual name is Tanusri (TAH-noo-shree), which means ‘embodiment of beauty.’

42. I love reading ebooks because of electronic dictionaries. When confronted with a word I don’t know, all I have to do is tap on it. Brilliant! I’ve actually reached out and tapped unfamiliar words in treeware more than once.

43. I have three tattoos and five piercings.

44. My favorite car ever was the beat-up old ‘73 Plymouth Duster with a three-on-the-floor that I drove in junior college.

45. I’ve been carrying a Pocket PC since they were called PDAs and were made by Apple.

46. I don’t like talking on the phone and rarely call people.

47. I don’t get stage fright.

48. I’m a south paw.

49. I don’t like beer.

50. I know how to embroider.
